Giro leaped into the eyewear market with a four-model portfolio touted as the next step in sunglass evolution. Giro has an exclusive agreement with Carl Zeiss Vision Sunlens, producer of the world's finest eyeglass and sunglass lenses and precision optics for over 100 years, to offer Zeiss Certified True Sight™ lenses as an option throughout the collection.- Super Fit nylon frame that is specifically designed to integrate seamlessly and perfectly with almost every helmet.
- The Carl Zeiss certified lens is an impressive bit of polycarbonate with superb clarity and lack of distortion that easily trounces the vast majority of single-lens competitors.
- Dura Clean™, a hydrophobic hardcoating process that repels water, oils and debris that can compromise vision.
- Rabobank's Denis Menchov won the '09 Giro d'Italia wearing Giro eyewear. In 2009, Rabobank, Slipstream, Bissell, BMC riders also wear these Giro sunglasses.

Giro’s patent-pending Pop Top system goes beyond traditional “snap-in” lens changing systems that make it difficult to change lenses without fingerprints, stress or scratches to the lens. Instead, Pop Top features a sleek lever in the temple of the frame that releases the lens, allowing easy lens removal and installation. Once you’ve changed the lens, the lever locks the lens in the frame when you’re done.
Unlike other interchangeable lens eyewear, you don’t need to touch and therefore dirty the Giro Filter's lens to either fit or remove it.
Simply flip the Pop-Top hidden levers located just in front of and above the arm hinges, and slot the new lenses into position. It takes no force and therefore only the lightest grip of the lens edge is required. When located, simply flip the levers shut and the lenses are locked into position, without rattling or slipping.
Step 2 – Open the Pop Top latch to release the lens
Step 3 – Grasp the edges of the lens, and remove the lens from the frame
Step 4 – Slide the new lens into the frame
Step 5 – Keeping the lens in place, close the Pop Top latch
Step 6 – Repeat the process with the other lens, then ride.

The Mark of ZEISS Quality
The semi-visible “Z” engraved onto each lens is a uniqueness of ZEISS products. This mark allows you to recognize the authenticity of the lens against imitations and it certifies the conformity to the highly restrictive ZEISS standards.
The unique quality control procedure has introduced parameters and procedures used in the ophthalmic market, which are far more severe than the International Standards for sunglass lenses. This means that every single piece marked with the “Z” satisfies all those requirements, including abrasion tests, optical and design tests, durability tests and inspection tests.
All to a higher level.
